HEROES WALK 4 WOMEN

Saturday, August 3, 2019

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the Anoka Police Department have joined together to take a stand against domestic & sexual violence. The “Heroes Walk 4 Women” acknowledges that everyone can be a hero, and creates a unique opportunity to join forces for a noble cause.

This walk challenges YOU to make a difference in the future of our neighborhoods. Start a team, or join a team as law enforcement, fire fighters, EMS, military and other local heroes join with Superman, Wonder Woman and other super heroes for a great cause. Together, we take a stand (& a walk) to combat domestic & sexual violence in our communities. Those serving, or who have served, in any uniform capacity are encouraged to wear their service uniforms. Everyone else is encouraged to dress tastefully like your favorite hero; Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Teacher, Doctor etc. YOU can gather your co-workers, sports teams or civic groups to make positive impacts so that the future of those we love is safer.
The event will offer unique “Hero” experiences including S.W.A.T. vehicles, Police & Sheriff vehicles and Fire Trucks as well as other unique photo opportunities and experiences.
  • Sponsorships are available and all donations are welcome!
  • Paper registration forms are available for download.

ALL proceeds will go towards combating domestic & sexual violence and supporting our local advocates through the Alexandra House.

Be part of the event and be part of the change! Don’t miss YOUR chance to be a HERO!

Be sure to register by April 30th to receive a swag bag at check-in!!
